Ruth began activism at Carleton University where she facilitated a media campaign and filed a lawsuit against the University after being arrested with 4 other students for conducting pro-life activism. In 2011, Ruth founded Ottawa Against Abortion, a local activism chapter. That same year, she was also named International Pro-life Activist of the year by Students for Life of America. From 2012-2016, Ruth switched pro-life roles by becoming a mom to 3 children, William, Ezekiel (in heaven), and Micah. In 2016, Ruth became the Communications Director for NCLN and has been serving as the Executive Director since April 2017. She lives in Ottawa, Ontario.
